Help shape the activation of the Cairns South State Development Area

Overview

The Cairns South State Development Area (SDA) was established to facilitate economic growth and diversification of the Cairns economy as well as job creation to support the long-term needs of the Cairns region.

The Office of the Coordinator-General is seeking your feedback to ensure the Cairns South SDA can continue to support the future needs of the region, including economic development, service delivery, transport connectivity, and infrastructure planning.

As a landowner, stakeholder, industry within the region, your views and local knowledge are important in helping us understand potential opportunities and community priorities.

Your feedback will help identify local priorities, issues and opportunities and inform the activation of the Cairns South SDA. Feedback will also inform the review of the Cairns South SDA Development Scheme in early 2027.
